Feature availability depends on your installed app version. The public version 1.1 listing includes all current content without a subscription; remote Planner AI, Deen Pro, and some calendar integrations described below apply only where your release offers them. Check the App Store listing for current release details. Need help? Start with the answers below. If the issue continues, send the app version, iOS version, device model, and the steps that led to the problem—without including passwords or other sensitive information.

How do I recover access to my account?

Use the same sign-in method you originally chose. For Sign in with Apple, confirm that the Apple Account on the device is the one linked to Deen Over Dunya. For email-based sign-in, use the recovery option on the sign-in screen. If you still cannot access the account, contact support from the account’s email address when possible.

Is the app free?

The app is free to download, has no advertisements, and includes useful free planning tools. Supported releases may also offer optional Deen Pro monthly and yearly subscriptions. The purchase screen shows your localized price, billing period, and any introductory offer for which Apple reports you are eligible before you confirm.

Can Planner AI change my calendar by itself?

No. Remote AI can only draft a proposal or ask a clarifying question. Nothing changes until you review the proposal and tap Apply. Native app code validates the proposal against current calendar and prayer truth, and eligible changes create a receipt with exact Undo while that receipt remains current.

What information does remote Planner AI receive?

For planning, the app prepares the current message you choose to send, your selected local date and UTC offset, bucketed planning counts, typed planning state, and the context categories, date range, and limits you approve. It excludes conversation history, prior assistant responses, stored titles, exact open windows, memories, workspace handoffs, notes, locations, attendees, attachments, provider names, and native identifiers. If you approve planning context, Planner may perform one bounded availability or prayer-boundary read using temporary aliases. The server also sends a pseudonymous account-derived safety identifier to OpenAI for abuse prevention. It can link requests from the same account without sending your raw account ID or email address. Anything you deliberately type is still part of your message. Review the exact pre-send summary and the Privacy Policy before enabling remote AI.

How does Planner AI consent work?

Remote AI starts off and consent is recorded separately for each app installation. You can revoke this device or all devices from Privacy Center. Revoking consent cancels an active request and never queues an automatic resend. The backend retains no Planner memories or workspace handoffs.

What happens when remote AI is offline or I reach the allowance?

Manual Planner, Quick Add, Inbox, forms, editing, scheduling, review, receipts, and eligible Undo remain available. Planner does not substitute a hidden local assistant and never infers a write. Free accounts receive a small monthly remote allowance; Deen Pro provides a higher fair-use allowance. These are complete planning turns, not model-token purchases.

How do I restore, change, or cancel Deen Pro?

Open Settings → Subscription. Use Restore Purchases to refresh eligible App Store entitlements, or Manage Subscriptions to view, change, or cancel through Apple. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

How are trials, renewals, and refunds handled?

StoreKit and App Store Connect are the source of truth. A trial appears only when Apple reports that the account is eligible. Deen Pro renews automatically for the displayed billing period unless cancelled in Apple subscription settings. Apple handles charges, taxes, storefront availability, refund requests, and billing-retry status.

Why do prayer times differ from my mosque?

Prayer times can differ because of calculation method, madhab, location accuracy, and local manual adjustments. Open Settings → Prayer Settings to review these choices. Follow your trusted local mosque or authority when their timetable should take precedence.

Why is the Qibla compass inaccurate?

Allow location and motion access when prompted, move away from magnetic cases or large metal objects, and follow the app’s calibration prompts while holding the phone flat and still when taking a reading. Compare with a known direction before relying on it in a new place.

What works offline?

After setup, core Quran, prayer, routine, local/manual planning, proposal history, receipts, and personal protection experiences remain useful offline. Remote Planner AI, streaming recitation, account synchronization, purchase refresh, and content that has not yet been downloaded require a connection.

Quran audio is not playing

Check the device volume, silent and Focus settings, and your connection. Try a recitation or ayah that has already been downloaded. If playback remains stuck, close and reopen the app and include the reciter, surah, and ayah in your support email.

How do I connect a calendar?

Open Calendar Integrations. For Apple Calendar, allow access when iOS asks and choose which device calendars to include. Supported builds may also offer direct read-only Google Calendar or private iCalendar subscription feeds. Microsoft integration remains disabled unless it is explicitly available in your build. External provider events are treated as read-only constraints by Planner.

How does Personal Protection work?

It uses Apple Family Controls and Screen Time frameworks to shield apps selected on your own authorized iPhone. Your general browsing history, Screen Time passcode, and general app-usage history are not sent to our servers. The current release does not include family monitoring or remote child-device management.

Why is app shielding not active?

Confirm Screen Time authorization is still enabled, review the selected apps or categories, and check whether iOS settings changed after an update or device restore. You can remove authorization and set it up again if needed.

How do I export or delete my data?

Open Settings → Privacy & Compliance → Data Rights → Manage My Data. From there, you can export your data or start permanent account and associated cloud-data deletion. See the Privacy Policy for retention details.

How do I report a security issue?

Email deenoverdunya.ca@gmail.com with “Security” in the subject. Include reproducible steps and impact, but do not send passwords, access tokens, private keys, or another person’s personal information.
